Gearup F-Series Round 5

Great weekend at Round 5 of the F-Series in Boston, USA.

Due to a few issues we only did a few test sessions on Friday, but still managed to put in some very fast times by the end of the day, giving us a margin over the rest of the field.

Come Saturday morning however the track conditions had changed. We struggled to find the pace, and in another very close qualifying, I could only managed to put it 4th on the grid. In race 1, I very nearly got taken out with one kart flying over me from behind, somehow I managed to keep it going and finished 4th which was a good recovery all things considered.

Race 2, started 4th, finished 3rd. Race 3 started 3rd, got into 2nd in the first turn, was closing in on 1st at the start but a couple of battles to hold my position dropped us back a bit and I eventually took 2nd at the flag.

This meant we finished 2nd overall for the weekend. A good haul of points that increases our championship lead going into the final round which is a doubleheader at New Jersey's Motorsport Park in just over four weeks time.

A big thank you to my parents for coming out to support and watch me race, it was great to have you cheering me along. To my Dad and Sean for doing a great job working on my kart all weekend. To George and Alex Vorrilas for everything they do for us, you guys are amazing. Also a big thank you to my partners/sponsors who continue to support me: ONE Motorsport, ApexKartSports, Iztech Kart Seats, XCP Professional, Robbos Motorsport Photography, Marbella Patio Restaurante.
